Fir honey belongs to the category of honeydew and is collected from granules & aphids that parasitize the Greek species of Fir and produce honey secretions exploitable by bees.

Very dark, almost black, with a light green tinge.

Slightly resinous aroma, very characteristic.

Known for its low sugar content, it never crystallizes.

The antioxidant activity of fir honey is greater than that of lighter color honeys.

The therapeutic and medicinal properties of fir honey, known since ancient times, are still used today in traditional medicine. Its antibacterial activity which can be either bacteriostatic or bactericidal.
